Simon Gattorna

Simon brings over 25 years of global experience in Financial Services consulting and industry, spanning Australia, the UK, USA, Middle East, and Far East. He is highly regarded for his expertise in business strategy, transformation, and operational excellence, with a proven ability to deliver impactful change and sustainable performance improvement for leading financial institutions.

Simon was a Senior Principal at Boston Consulting Group, where he delivered major strategy engagements. He then joined Commonwealth Bank of Australia as General Manager, Institutional Banking and Markets, serving the commercial banking needs of large corporate and government organisations. Later, as a Partner at Deloitte, he specialised in strategy, operational turnaround, and restructuring, leading significant projects such as strategy refreshes for Westpac and Bank of Queensland. At EY, Simon continued to drive transformation across banking and capital markets as a Partner in Financial Services Business Transformation Consulting.

Since 2023, Simon operated his own advisory firm, focusing on tailored solutions in business strategy, transformation, and operating model design. He led strategy and transformation initiatives at Westpac, including segmentation, insights, and operating model redesign.

Simon grew up right here in Sydney and can even spot his old neighbourhood from the office. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, rugby union, kayaking, travel, and exploring fine wine.
